いつもどこかの街角で音を奏でていたい―
そんな想いで2007年結成。
スティールパン・伊澤陽一、チェロ・薄井信介、ギター・菅又 -Gonzo- 健によるユニット。
バンド名の「カントジフア」はポルトガル語で「街角」という意味を持つ。
オリジナル曲を中心に、三人三様のスタイルで織りなす世界はまさに唯一無二の街角サウンド―
2009年に一時活動休止するも、2020年より活動再開。
2021年、1stアルバム『どこかの街角で』リリース。
2022年、2ndアルバム『J.S.Bach Goldberg Variations』リリース。

Always would like to make a sound in a street corner somewhere…
Formed CANTO DE RUA in 2007 with such thought.
The unit cosisting of Yoichi Izawa on Steelpan, Shinsuke Usui on Cello and Ken -Gonzo- Sugamata on Guitar. The name, CANTO DE RUA(Portuguese), has a meaning as Street Corner.
Based on their original songs, the world wove by the each styles is exactly the one and only street sound!
Activities were temporarily suspended in 2009, but activities resumed in 2020.
2021, 1st Album “in the street corner somewhere” released.
2022, 2nd Album “J.S.Bach Goldberg Variations” released.
